What is Half-Life 2 Roleplay?

Half-Life 2 Roleplay is a gamemode created by Cloud Sixteen.

If you are completely new to Serious Roleplay and Clockwork, I suggest reading the whole (or as much as you can) article at the long description of the gamemode. Short: It is a roleplaying gamemode set in the Half-Life 2 universe, in 2018, when Combines are in control of the world. There is the Resistance called Lambda, they are trying to fight the Combine rule and return freedom to earth, and you start as a simple Citizen in City 18. CPs are patrolling everywhere, they are trained units that are looking after the city, checking that there wouldn't be any riots or some people that are trying to return freedom. There is a set of simple rules that the Combine want you to obey: no running, no jumping, no yelling, no punching. These are punished with either detainment, or re-education. Re-education is when you get hit 3 times in the back with a stunstick, it hurts a lot, but keeps you alive. Other rules involve killing other citizens, attempting to or killing a CP, wielding a firearm, etc. When Dispatch talks, everyone listens, it says when there are Rations distributed or an Inspection going on. Rations are purple bags which have supplements, tokens and drinks in them. Inspection is when the CPs round you all up in one place and search you for contraband. The inspection location, by default, is the CCH (Apartments).
